Coach Pete DeStefano has been apart of the McClancy coaching staff for the last 6 years, spending 2 of those as assistant coach for Varsity, 1 as head coach of Junior Varsity, and finally, current Varsity head coach for the last 3 years.

Coach DeStefano played a pivotal role in building the McClancy softball program to new heights.

In his 6 years coaching, the Crusaders rose from a Tier 3 program, finishing perennially sub-.500, to a Tier 1 program consitently finishing within the top 3 of their division each season.

His outlook for this season remains the same, playing another season of consistently elite softball.

For the 2026 season, Coach DeStefano and his team captain are looking to lead the Crusaders back into deep playoff contention and hunt for championships.

Senior Kaiya Sciacco, hungry for championships this season, take the Crusaders on their backs and will fight to keep their window for success wide open.

Centerfielder and Division 2 Bridgeport commit, Sciacco, is riding off of her performance last season, looking to bring the same energy and efficiency though the 2026 campaign and into her college career.
