Coach's Corner - Lou Santos

  • Lou Santos has been head softball coach at Archbishop Molloy for 25 years, 22 of those coaching Junior Varsity, and the last 3 coaching Varsity.

  • In 2025, he led the Stanners to the Queens Division Championship, the Brooklyn/Queens Championship, NYC Championship, up until the New York State semifinals.

  • The Stanners were also voted #1 in Team GPA in the United States by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).

  • His 2026 season outlook remains the same...first place finishes and continued domination with the Stanners.

Captain's Corner

  • Going into 2026, the Stanners boast their toolbox of championships from the season prior, but also a star studded trio of captains ready to lead the team into another deep playoff run.

  • The captain for the Stanners this year is senior Elizabeth Meade. The RBI machine plays a versatile 1B/OF and helped rally the team late in games and deep into the playoffs last year.

  • The Stanners co-captains for the upcoming season include senior Kimmy Piazza and junior Diem Nenadich.

  • Piazza, just one year removed from playing a strong LHP/OF, two-way player combo to carry the Stanners to the city championship, is eager to run it back and lead her team again. Also, she has committed to play Division 1 softball at St. John's University to continue her academic and athletic career.

  • Nenadich captains the infield again this season, patrolling shortshop, and she aims to keep her perfect 60 for 60 stolen base streak alive. She has committed to play Division 1 Softball at Hofstra University to continue her academic and athletic career.
